September 6 @ 10:00 am - October 4 @ 11:30 am$150 – $190
This Parenthood Circle is for people in their first year of parenting who want to explore how they are feeling about having become a parent. It is a 5-week session so that parents can lean on the support of the community, share their feelings and create lasting connections that will serve them beyond the course. This course requires participants to bring some personal vulnerability – we understand how important it is for individuals to be heard and their feelings honoured, so the circle leans on the expertise of a therapist to guide the sessions.
Our Parenthood Circle is lead by Psychotherapist, Alex Winterburn, who has a MSc in Humanistic Person-Centered Psychotherapy. As a therapist, she works alongside her clients in order to help facilitate their growth and change and she is experienced in working with a large variety of issues. She says “essentially my work is with my client and whatever they bring into the therapy room” and in this way, she will respond to the groups’ needs.
This course includes 5 sessions, held on Fridays between 10:00 am and 11:30 am and is suitable for parents to come with their babies (under 1 year of age), for which there will be childcare available.
