DESCRIPTION:Our New Parents Package is for expectant parents and their support people to prepare for the arrival of a new baby and becoming parents. Our highly regarded classes are run by qualified\, trained childbirth educators in a relaxed and nurturing setting. \nThis package starts in January 2019 and is for babies due in March 2019. The Childbirth Education course runs over seven weeks on Thursday nights between 10 January – 21 February 2018. The Baby and You course runs over five weekday mornings in April and May\, 2019. \nCost:\nOur New Parents Package costs $295 (incl. GST) and includes: \n\nAttendance for two people (i.e. one couple) at the 7-week Childbirth Education course\nAttendance for two people (i.e. one couple) at the 5-week Baby & You course (with a start date in April)\nA one year membership to Parents Centre which includes membership benefits including partner discounts\nA one year subscription to Kiwiparent magazine and our local OPC newsletter Odd + Ends\n\nVenue:\nAll classes are held in the Onewa Parents Centre rooms in the Rawene Centre\, Birkenhead. \nTerms:\nBy registering my attendance I acknowledge that there is a non-refundable fee of $50 if I cancel within two weeks of my booked course commencing\, and once the first session has commenced there is no refund. \n\n\n    \n

SUMMARY:Moving and Munching (Feb/March 2019)
DESCRIPTION:Our Moving and Munching course includes two interactive and informative sessions\, tailored to parents of 3 month – 6 month old babies\, and covers a range of topics including your baby’s physical and mental milestones\, bonding and learning through play\, starting solids\, nutritional requirements\, and stages of development. \nThis course includes two sessions\, held on Friday 22 February (Munching) and Friday 1 March (Moving). Both sessions run from 10am – 11:30am in the OPC Rooms at Rawene Centre. \nThe Moving session – hosted by Wendy Perera\, a qualified Early Education Teacher and movement consultant – explores your baby’s development and physical and mental milestones over their first year\, looks at how babies learn through play and exploration\, and how to create an safe and stimulating learning environment at home. \nThe Munching session – hosted by Priscilla Natalia\, a registered Dietitian and paediatric nutrition specialist – provides an informative introduction to solids based on the latest evidence-based research\, and covers textures\, nutritional requirements\, allergies and intolerances\, and stages of development. \nParents of younger babies are most welcome to attend\, as are the little ones! \nCost: \n\nParents Centre members: $40 (incl. GST) for both sessions\nNon-Parents Centre members: $50 (incl. GST) for both sessions\n\nVenue:\nAll classes are held in the Onewa Parents Centre rooms in the Rawene Centre\, Birkenhead. \n\n\n    \n
